CANTON TOWNSHIP AND CITY OF WASHINGTON DEMOLITION PROJECT NOS. CD 18-05 AND CD 18-22

The Redevelopment Authority of the County of Washington (RACW) will receive bids for the CANTON TOWNSHIP AND CITY OF WASHINGTON DEMOLITION PROJECT NOS. CD 18-05 AND CD 18-22 until 10:00 A.M., prevailing time, on May 17, 2019, at its office, 100 West Beau Street, Suite 603, Washington, Pennsylvania 15301, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Copies of the contract documents including drawings, technical specifications and bid forms may be emailed at no charge. Hard copies are available at RACW, 100 West Beau Street, Suite 603, Washington, PA for a non-refundable payment of $35.00, or mailed for a payment of $42.00.  Checks will be payable to RACW.

DUNLEVY STREET EXTENSION PROJECT NO. LS 18-12

The Redevelopment Authority of the County of Washington (RACW) will receive bids for the DUNLEVY STREET EXTENSION PROJECT NO. LS 18-12 until 10:00 A.M, prevailing time, on May 30, 2019, at its office, 100 West Beau Street, Suite 603, Washington, Pennsylvania 15301, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Copies of the contract documents including drawings, technical specifications, and bid forms may be obtained at KLH Engineers, 5173 Campbells Run Road, Pittsburgh, PA (412-494-0510).  A non-refundable payment of $80.00 payable to KLH Engineers is required for each set of contract documents. 

 A NON-MANDATORY PREBID MEETING WILL BE HELD AT 9:00 AM, ON MAY 16, 2019 AT THE DUNLEVY BOROUGH BUILDING, 2 WALNUT STREET, DUNLEVY, PA.

This project involves the construction of a new roadway extending Walnut Street to Route 88, approximately 900 lf. 

Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty, which shall not be less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. The form of the guaranty shall be in accordance with the type permitted under the contract documents.

Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project; that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap.

RACW reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding.  Bids may be held by RACW for a period not to exceed forty-five (45) days from the date of opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the contract.

In no event will RACW consider a contractor as eligible if he cannot initiate the work under the contract within 30 days of the contract execution and proceed to the successful completion of the work within 90 consecutive calendar days of the Notice to Proceed.
