CHECK PRESENTATION TO WASHINGTON COMMUNITY ARTS AND CULTURAL EXPANSION

On January 21, 2010, the Washington County Board of Commissioners presented a check in the amount of $300,000 to Board Members of Wash Arts as part of the Washington County Local Share Account Program. The Local Share Account funds will be used for the Washington Community Arts and Cultural Center Expansion Project.
Wash Arts has been addressing the need for art education successfully for over five years through fine art instruction and programming aimed at children and youth in leased space. As an established non-profit center of excellence, Wash Arts desires to secure a permanent home for its organization and to further solidify its place in the community and region.
