Observer Reporter Article Features RACW Homebuyer Assistance Program

On Sunday, December 18, 2011, the Observer Reporter published a story highlighting the Redevelopment Authority's Homebuyer Assistance Program. The story provided information about the program and insight from two participants who successfully purchased homes through the program. COMMUNITY ACTION SOUTHWEST ANNOUNCES OPENING OF NEW ADDITION AT DONORA HEAD START FACILITY

 On Friday, October 28, 2011 the Highland Terrace Head Start Facility in Donora celebrated the opening of its new addition with an Open House. In November 2010, the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Washington awarded a contract in the amount of $499,717 for the construction of an addition at the facility which is located at 110 Gallatin Drive. The project involved the construction of a 1,500 square foot addition which will provide one classroom, a socialization room, office space, and restrooms. Hotel California Grounbreaking

 The Washington County Board of Commissioners and the Redevelopment Authority held groundbreaking ceremonies today to mark the development of a new hotel in the Borough of California. California Hotel Associates will build a new Hampton Inn & Suites on five (5) acres of land it is purchasing from the Redevelopment Authority in the California Technology Park.
