Past Use: Downtown commercial

Current Status: Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and remediation completed. Pennsylvania Act 2 Limited Liability Status was achieved. An Environmental Covenant was executed and recorded.

Site Name: Brody’s Warehouse – 5 Iron Street, Canonsburg, PA

Past Use: Furniture storage

Current Status: Phase I Environmental Site Assessment completed. Existing warehouse to be demolished.

$ – Potential Reuse: Mixed use residential, commercial and industrial.

 

Site Name: Canonsburg Library

Past Use: Downtown commercial and industrial

Current Status: Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and remediation completed. Pennsylvania Act 2 Limited Liability Status was achieved. An Environmental Covenant was executed and recorded.

Past Use: Fort Pitt Business Works

Current Status: Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and site remediation completed.

Site Name: Jessop Place

Past Use: Industrial and residential

Current Status: Canton 2010 Plan was completed.

$ – Potential / Current Reuse: Industrial and commercial

 

City of Washington

Site Name: Brockway Glass – 55 Hickory Street, Washington, PA 15301

Past Use: Brockway Glass manufacturing facility

Current Status: Office space available for lease. Phase I Environmental Site Assessment completed.

$ – Potential / Current Reuse: Business tenants include RPM Industries (hydraulic equipment manufacturer), DAART (office space), Penn Industrial Sales, Inc. (warehouse space), Hillman Appliance (warehouse space), Watermark Gallery (warehouse space), NovaCare (warehouse space) and a landscaping business (office/warehouse space).

 

Site Name: Detroit Street – 100/200 Detroit Street, Washington, PA 15301

Past Use: Former Ball Glass Plant

Current Status: Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and remediation completed. Pennsylvania Act 2 Limited Liability Status was achieved.

Current Reuse: Two new businesses located on property: Prime Plastics and Multi-Chem

 

Site Name: Salsberry Bump Shop – 445 Donnan Avenue, Washington, PA 15301

Past Use: Automobile sales / service lot

Current Status: A building located on the site was consumed by fire in 2009, leaving only a concrete pad. Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments completed.

$ – Potential Reuse: Residential

 

Site Name: YWCA Site – 47 West Maiden Street, Washington, PA 15301

Past Use: Former location of YWCA

Current Status: Property is owned by TRIPIL Inc. Building is historically significant. Phase I Environmental Site Assessment completed. Onsite asbestos containing materials (ACM) scheduled to be removed.

Current Reuse: Future location for TRIPIL, Inc. Headquarters.

 

Donora Township

Site Name: Donora Industrial Park – Sixth Street, Donora, PA

Past Use: Industrial facility

Current Status: Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and remediation completed. Pennsylvania Act 2 Limited Liability Status was achieved. An Environmental Covenant was executed and recorded.

$ – Potential Use: Industrial

 

Hanover Township

Site Name: Tri-State Oil – 62 Steubenville Pike, Burgettstown, PA 15021

Past Use: Automobile basic maintenance / bulk petroleum storage facility

Current Status: Property owned by North Star Properties. The site is3.5 acres, including a two story metal commercial building. Phase I Environmental Site Assessment completed. Phase II ESA is underway.

Current Reuse: North Star plans to expand business on the site and is currently participating in RACW’s Brownfield Revolving Loan Fund Program.

 

Smith Township

Site Name: AMZ Site

Past Use: Industrial

Current Status: Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments completed. Site remediation is underway.

$ – Potential Reuse: Heavy industrial

 

Union Township

Site Name: Phoenix Business Park

Past Use: Refuse coal and landfill

Current Status: Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments completed. Site remediation is underway.

$ – Potential / Current Reuse: Light industrial and commercial
